Terms & Conditions

The rules of the road for using this website and our services. Please read them — they matter more than the small print usually does.

Last updated: October 2026. This page is a general template for the Association's website and should be reviewed by AA Kenya's legal team before publication.

1. About these terms

These terms and conditions govern your use of this website and the online services offered by the Automobile Association of Kenya ("AA Kenya", "we", "us"). By using the site, creating an account or purchasing a membership or service, you agree to be bound by them.

2. Membership

  • Membership (Individual, Corporate or Junior) is personal to the registered member or organisation and is not transferable unless we agree in writing.
  • Member benefits — including discounts on fuel and AA services — are subject to the rules of the relevant benefit programme and may change with reasonable notice.
  • Membership fees are payable in advance and are non-refundable except as required by law.
  • We may suspend or terminate a membership that is used fraudulently or abusively.

3. Road rescue services

  • Rescue services are provided subject to the service level of your membership category and the operational conditions at the time of the request.
  • Response times are estimates, not guarantees; traffic, weather, terrain and safety considerations affect dispatch and arrival.
  • Emergency requests should be made via *650# or 0709 933 000 / 999.

4. Website use

  • You may not misuse this site, attempt unauthorised access, or interfere with its operation or security.
  • Content on this site is provided for general information and may be updated at any time.
  • The AA Kenya name, badge and livery are protected marks; do not use them without written permission.

5. Accounts and the self-service portal

  • You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.
  • Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.

6. Privacy

We collect and process personal data to deliver membership and services, in accordance with the Data Protection Act of Kenya. Details submitted through our enquiry and complaint forms are used solely to respond to and resolve your matter.

7. Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Kenyan law. Beyond that, AA Kenya is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the website, or from delays and failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control.

8. Changes

We may revise these terms from time to time. The version published on this page applies from its "last updated" date.
